Dr. Sheridan received his Biology degree with Honors from Stanford University, where he was introduced to cardiac surgery in the Shumway Cardiovascular Research Center. He earned his medical degree under the mentorship of Dr. Michael DeBakey at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. After completing his training in Cardiothoracic and Transplant Surgery at the University of Colorado, he accepted his first staff position at the University of North Carolina. During his 14 years in academia he achieved tenured status and directed the mechanical circulatory support and heart transplant programs while developing innovative procedures to help patients with heart failure and structural heart disease. Dr. Sheridan joined his current practice in 2016 in the SF Bay area to build the surgical treatment of advanced and structural heart disease.
